MULTI-USE GAMES AREA

We know how it sounds, but there is a MUGA on the park in the form of this excellent piece of equipment. The MUGA was funded by a generous donation of £50,000 from Lawrence House Trust. This was the first of the play equipment to be installed and it has proved to be an extremely popular attraction. It was installed in July 2005, just in time for the school holidays. It is great to see how the children use the facility, especially the way in which they include everyone who wants to play. A child can arrive alone ,but instantly be amongst friends and be included in the game. The children are already taking ownership of the park, this has to be encouraged because if they own something they will look after it.
