Woodland Walk
Wishing Well Wood

On Saturday, 13th June 2009, Park View 4U celebrated the opening of the new woodland walk. The area, once used by youngsters as a makeshift BMX track, has been transformed to form a tranquil area on the lively park.
Adorned with wooden sculptures, information boards and a story area as well as bird and bat boxes to encourage the varied wildlife ,the area has been named Wishing Well Wood. The name came about following the generous donation by the Rotary Club of Lytham of their wishing well which they have had refurbished for us.
The money for the refurbishment of the area came from Breathing Places lottery funding with much of the work being carried out by Kirkham Prison and Fylde Borough Council.
The new Woodland area has been the subject of a series of short stories, which tell of the adventures of the animals.fairies and pixies that live in the woods, so be careful – if you go down to the woods today you may be in for a big surprise.
