The Park
Through Lancashire County Council’s Community Design project, we were able to secure the services of Landscape architect David Fisher, who designed the overall vision of the park.
David’s design although quite bold and contemporary fits into the natural backdrop of the surrounding area. David has incorporated the various play areas into separate ‘rooms’ which are all interlinked.
Each room is contained by mounds or bunds of grassed earth, which are interrupted by planting schemes and pebbled filled gabions which double up as seating areas.
