Official opening
On the 11th July 2008 The mayor of Fylde Cll Sue Frazackerly and Alderman Ron Wilson officially opened the park. This was a special moment for our Mayor as she recalled playing on the field as a child. Also for Alderman Wilson who has spent many happy days on Park View playing fields during his long association with junior football.
It was a special day for us the committee and trustees who have worked so hard for the past five years, and who are so proud of their achievements.
The opening ceremony was held in a marquee and with nearly 300 people attending it was standing room only. We held a weekend long celebration with something for everyone, this proved to be so successful that we will be making it an annual fundraising event
